Position: Grant Manager
Location: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO.

Starting Salary Range: *$70,000-$87,500 annually

We are seeking a Grant Writer to support the Philanthropic and Communications team. Reporting to the Chief People and Philanthropy Officer, this role will support Laradon’s mission by writing and submitting institutional giving applications, while also managing post-award and reporting requirements. Donor stewardship is integral to this job. The Grant Writer will work closely with the Philanthropic and communications team, Directors/Manager of Programs to help execute fundraising strategies, communications and campaigns. This position will work collaboratively internally and externally, participate in strategic campus sessions, and be required to track, input and lay out all grant plans for each fiscal year.
No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:
Work in close collaboration with program leadership to collect data on program progress and ensure accurate information is transmitted in all funder communications in a timely manner.
Innovate new initiatives and other strategic institutional partnership opportunities, including their respective roles in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of key relationships.
Develop strong relationships with external foundations and corporate giving prospects.
Communicate effectively to all appropriate persons within the organization regarding grant progress and all institutional giving-related initiatives and projects.
Provide the needed guidance ensuring grant contracts are implemented in a timely manner and that they are appropriate for Laradon’s needs and abilities
Ensure post-award organizational compliance in collaboration with other stakeholders
Ensure reports on grant-funded projects are timely and include the appropriate level of detail.
Collaborate with any contracted grant proposal writers.
Attend meetings, tours, conferences, and networking events as a representative of Laradon.
Maintains confidential information and data.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience grant writing for a nonprofit.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and meet all deadlines without direct supervision.
Proven ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships, must be willing and able to function as a team player, both within the Foundation and with other key internal stakeholders.
Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, proficient in developing grant budgets with experience in technical writing and research.
Must be detail oriented with proficient organizational skills.
Ability to think both analytically and creatively.
Ability to demonstrate patience, accountability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Act with integrity, honesty, and truthfulness to maintain and broaden the public’s trust into Laradon.
