Maintenance Technician
Location: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO- 5100 Lincoln St.

Starting Salary Range: *$22/hr.-$26/hr.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician position is an entry-level maintenance position. The successful applicant will receive training to perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings, gleet and grounds.
Essential Job Duties
· Operational (90%)
o Operation of all maintenance equipment.
o Inspection and maintenance of grounds, playground equipment, parking lot fences and exterior building structures to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety practices, policies and procedures.
o Exercise discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person.
o Assist in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed.
o Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
o Basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
o Perform snow removal and ice mitigation as needed.
o Change filters on heating, ventilating and air conditioning units.
o Perform building fire safety systems inspections.
o Move and assist in moving furniture and equipment.
o Maintain clean, safe and orderly work sites.
o Follow oral and/or written instructions.
o Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
o Perform facility inspections and maintain work logs.
o Inspect and perform minor servicing on fleet.
o Required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
o Subject to after-hours recall.
o Employee will be required to operate vehicles.
· Administrative (5%)
o Coordination and scheduling of maintenance projects with supervisor.
· Other Duties as Assigned (5%)
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Three to five years of maintenance technician experience
· Valid Colorado driver’s license.
· Driver’s license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
· Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
· Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full workdays; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.

- Valid driving license, good driving record, and reliable transportation, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to communicate well with children/youth, adults and staff
- Two years of college education, or high school diploma plus one year of experience in human services field.
